The Octopus Literary Salon presents the Oakland premiere of HALF-BREED, the touring music/poetry performance piece by San Francisco recording artist PC Muñoz.

HALF-BREED is a confrontation of historical conceptions of race-mixing and a personal exploration of multiracial identity delivered via electronic soundscapes, live instrumentation, and spoken poetry. This piece debuted at The Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis and has since been performed in San Francisco, New York, San José, and Los Angeles.

PC will be joined by improvising guitarist/sound alchemist Zachary James Watkins of Black Spirituals for this performance. South Bay-based poet ASHA will open the show, along with one more special guest.
